Four Decades of Deep Industry Experience

Our managing partner, Lou Silver, is a roofing expert.

He is a past president of the North/East Roofing Contractors Association and has over four decades of roofing contracting experience in the New York metropolitan area, having installed, repaired, and maintained thousands of residential and commercial roofing systems, from asphalt, to slate, tile, EPDM, BUR, thermoplastics, steel, terne, copper and zinc. Lou has been involved in wholesale distribution of roofing material as a salesmen and sales manager. Lou has manufactured and sold architectural metal accessories for commercial roofing. Lou has consulted with other contractors on bidding, financial management and buy/sell agreements. Lou's company Silver Roofing Inc. is a licensed home improvement contractor in Rockland and Westchester Counties, NY, and in the state of New Jersey.

Since 2007, Lou has provided specialty roof consulting services through Silver McGee to insurance companies, attorneys, property managers, and homeowners throughout the Northeast US.

Lou holds a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Engineering and Management from Clarkson University, and is a Haag Certified Residential Inspector and a Roof Consultant Institute member. He has twice spoken to the New York State Association of Independent Adjusters as an accredited speaker to deliver continuing education units regarding difficult roofing claims. He attends continuing education classes in the roofing industry including building and energy codes, bidding roofing assemblies, solar installation, design and maintenance, copper fabrication, and many others.
